OUR MISSION

Our Mission is to help as many individuals as possible achieve real Recovery from the devastation of addiction. We provide the latest, most cutting- edge treatment protocols aimed at achieving this goal for the entire Northeast Region of the United States. There is nothing more important than preserving the dignity and sanctity of  human life.  The public must understand Addiction as a condition with a biological basis and not as a moral failing. A chronic illness deserving of respect, compassion and support. Too many individuals, families and friends have suffered incalculable losses. We are committed to ending this epidemic now. 

WHAT WE OFFER

The Recovery Centers are substance abuse and dual diagnosis treatment centers within the Fairfield County region of CT. Our plans for expansion into NY, RI, VT, NH and MA will help address the growing need and spiraling crisis of addiction throughout this endemic region of the United States. Each center is an outpatient treatment facility specializing in Addiction Medicine. 

The Recovery Center’s philosophy is based upon respect, compassion and reduction of stigma for the client, while providing holistic and cutting edge technologies, assessment tools and treatment options addressing all substance abuse and dual diagnosis disorders.  Our programs are of significant duration: 6 months, 1 year or more.  And, we are equipped to provide continuous and seamless care from initial contact until eventual completion, utilizing all necessary modalities under one roof.  Most exciting of all, The Recovery Centers tackle treatment compliance - a major barrier to success and ongoing abstinence -  head-on, utilizing a range of approaches including the following:

At The Recovery Centers, we believe in treating the individual as a whole, and we strive to be as accurate and thorough as possible when assessing and treating an individual’s unique issues. Our approach is collaborative, within our practice, and throughout the community, multidisciplinary, highly individualized, well coordinated, safe, effective and discreet. Both Allopathic Westernized medical practices and Homeopathic/Naturopathic principles are combined to arrive at the best possible regimen of care for you. Our patients are embraced with nurturance, respect, compassion and empathy. We firmly believe a strong therapeutic rapport is the cornerstone of any successful treatment and serves as the foundation from which change takes place.

GETTING STARTED

We are available to accept calls 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  When you call to inquire about our services, or to schedule an appointment, your message will be answered promptly, efficiently and informatively. You will also be seen for your first appointment no later than within several days, if not the very next day, unlike most medical practices where one may wait weeks or months to be seen. Also, scheduled appointment times are just that; the exact time you are given, and not 5 or 10 minutes later than such.  We fully respect your need to be seen quickly, the importance of your personal time schedule,  and our time together with you. We say what we mean and we value our word. 

Our initial evaluations are a two-step process, first involving an appointment with our Clinical Treatment Coordinator, and then, a subsequent visit with our physician Executive Medical Director.   The two part evaluation allows for a truly comprehensive and thorough assessment of what your needs may be, and it allows for the set up of a collaborative treatment team from the start, immediately working in tandem for you. Your initial assessment involves a truly in-depth, holistic and comprehensive evaluation. It will look at all aspects of your life, taking into account that addiction is an all-encompassing condition and deserving of attention and care to the entire individual. Results of this assessment and Dr. Russo’s detailed medical assessment are combined to arrive at a sound treatment protocol created individually and specifically for you. Dr. Russo will cover, in accurate detail, any co occurring or suspected medical issues, will order additional laboratory tests, genetic testing, collaborate with your physicians/treaters and conduct other assessments pertinent to your condition. 

After your two part Initial Evaluation, subsequent appointments and/or sessions will be scheduled as needed and in concert with your schedule. We are fully available as clinically necessary between appointments and for any emergencies.  Also, we can be available to you for appointments/sessions via telemedicine practices involving phone, Skype, FaceTime, Zoom, closed circuit communication, all protective of your privacy and HIPPA compliant. This can allow us to reach you anytime and anywhere. 

Our practice is fee for service, and we are not beholden to any insurance companies regarding treatment approach and decision-making. We offer you the best treatment possible, and we do not need to submit to insurance driven cost-effective alternatives. Also, we fully protect your privacy and confidentiality, and you can be assured it is never compromised. We are happy to fill out any necessary paperwork you may decide to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement of fees owed you if you have any out of network benefits. Quite often our patients are able to retrieve some portion of fees paid, and sometimes it is as high as 80% or more.  We can also assist you in multiple ways to help finance your treatment.  Any other documentation you may require, ie. school letters, court letters, insurance, etc. will be happily provided as needed.
